讲座人介绍：

Xiuping Jia于1982年1月获得中国北京邮电大学工程学学士学位。后来，她分别于1996年和2005年通过兼职学习获得了澳大利亚新南威尔士大学的电气工程博士学位和高等教育研究生证书。她在高等教育领域拥有终身的学术生涯，对此她始终充满热情。贾博士撰写或合著了300多篇论文，涉及各种主题，包括遥感数据校正、高光谱特征约简和使用机器学习技术的图像分类。她与人合著了遥感教科书《遥感数字图像分析》[Springer Verlag，第3版（1999年）和第4版（2006年）]。贾博士是《高光谱/多光谱图像处理现场指南》的作者，SPIE，2022。她是《IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing》的主编。贾博士是IEEE Fellow。

讲座内容：

Academic publishing is primarily supported by the contributions of authors and reviewers. This talk presents the complementary roles of authors and reviewers, highlighting the benefits of engaging in both. Particular emphasis will be placed on effective communication and mutual understanding between authors and reviewers. The peer-review process will be overviewed using IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing as an example. Practical suggestions will be provided on how to deliver constructive reviews as a reviewer and how to respond effectively and professionally to reviewers’ comments as an author.
